Necessity of Positive Action

Let us commemorate this new year with a positive approach to life. Give a stranger a smile. Hold a door for someone. Plot a pleasant gesture towards a fellow neighbor. For Christ's sake tell someone you love as much. The payoff for being a better person is deeper than any checkbook, in fact it borders on the spiritual. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

This is a topic I have recently become interested in. What other resources are available on manners in today's society or a lack thereof, and what is the seeming extinction of manners the result of? What prominent factors or trends are at play?

thanks,

Terrence
